Embrace the taste of summer with this Pina Colada Smoothie Bowl!

We all dream of a Pina Colada in the sun, preferably on the beach in Bali, or maybe Hawaii…and now you can enjoy that same sweet, sweet taste in a delicious and healthy smoothie.

But that’s not even the best part – because this smoothie is best enjoyed with a spoon!

Pina Colada Smoothie Bowl Recipe


Smoothie Ingredients:

1 Banana

1 Cup Frozen Pineapple

1/3 Cup Coconut Milk (Canned)

1/3 Cup Coconut Water

Handful of Ice


Freshly Cut Pineapple Cubes

2 Tbsp KOJA Muesli Toppers

1 The Daily Bar, Gut Loving Bar


  1. Combine ALL Smoothie Ingredients into a high-speed blender and pulse until smooth and creamy.
  2. Transfer this creamy and delicious concoction into a pretty bowl.
  3. Decorate your smoothie with Freshly Cut Pineapple, KOJA Muesli, and a crumbled Daily Bar.
  4. (Optional: Find the best lighting in the house and take a Snapchat, Instagram or upload a picture to your Facebook story of what you have created and tag us at @retreatyourself_box!)

Not only is this recipe 100% Gluten, Dairy and Sugar-Free but it is also high in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats and plant-based proteins. In fact each ingredient packs its own nutritional punch.

The Power Of Your Pina Colada Smoothie Bowl:


Bananas for example are one of the best sources of potassium, magnesium and folate on the planet, that come in an easily digestible, sweet package. Bananas are also a great source of carbohydrate that are often used pre and post exercise to support muscle recovery.


Just one cup of Pineapple as is used in this recipe contains half of the daily-recommended value of Vitamin C, a water-soluble antioxidant that fights against cell damage, joint pain and eases inflammation in the body. These antioxidants have also proven effective in reducing the risk of macular degeneration and support overall digestive and enzymatic function in the body.


Coconut milk is a great lactose-free substitute for cow’s milk that provides large amounts of fibre, vitamin C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6 as well as iron, selenium, sodium and calcium. The water from the inside of a coconut is also full of electrolytes and minerals to replenish the body from dehydration and support detoxification.
