Healthy Snacking with Kez's

Aussies are some of the highest snacker’s in the world. A recent studyfound Australian children snack more frequently and on higher calorie options than those in China, Mexico and the USA.

We have been snacking like this for a while now with 96% of Aussie adults saying they regularly consume snack foods.

The irony is, many of us are not getting the recommended daily intake of fruit and vegetables and we are also one of the most obese populations in the world with 63% of Aussies over 15 years of age, either overweight or obese. This statistic is even higher amongst men.

But it’s not all bad news!

With an increased focus on the importance of having a healthy lifestyle, more healthier snacking options are appearing on our supermarket shelves every day.

At Kez’s Kitchen, they know very well that having time to make homemade snacks is always preferred as you get to choose what you put in them, but with our busy on the go lifestyles, it is sometimes necessary to eat purchased snacks for convenience.

Luckily there are still many healthy choices around. We listened to our loyal fans and developed a very fresh approach to achieving a delicious chocolate fudge brownie that delivers on a moreish experience without the guilt.

We made sure it met the criteria of not including refined sugar, made from fruit and nuts, gluten free, grain free, dairy free and all in all, vegan. The first flourless brownie to hit the supermarket shelf that is ridiculously good.

We know that in the case of snacks with specific claims, labelling is crucial and an important way to communicate product benefits to consumers. Regarding ingredients labelling it’s clear that less is best, so clean, minimal ingredient lists are becoming increasingly important for us all.

5 ways with Kez's Gluten Free Chewy Flourless Brownies

  1. Microwave your brownie for 10 to 15 seconds and add a spoonful of coconut ice cream for a delicious dessert.
  2. Crumble your brownie over your yoghurt and muesli for some extra chocolatey goodness.
  3. Make a brownie parfait in a glass by alternating different layers of crumbled brownie, yoghurt of choice and fresh berries.
  4. Crumble the brownies and use them as a base for a cacao and avocado mousse tart.
  5. Eat them straight from the packet!

Decadently delicious, these flourless brownies will satisfy everyone. Crafted from wholesome all natural ingredients including dates, coconut, cashews and cocoa with no refined sugar, they are a guilt free slice of heaven, with the added goodness of being Vegan, Gluten, Grain, Egg & Dairy Free.
