Healthy Vegan Chocolate Sundae

Who can resist a delicious chocolate sundae? No...seriously, we would love to meet them if that type of person exists!

A go-to sundae recipe that we run to time and time again, and which featured in the RY Autumn Magazine, is this yummy Healthy and Vegan Chocolate Sundae that Coconut Bowls shared with us.

This sundae is full of healthy fats and antioxidants and has been created for Coconut Bowls by Olivia aka @bitesbyliv. We highly recommend you try this one...

Healthy and Vegan Chocolate Sundae

Ingredients:

1/2 avocado
2 frozen bananas
1/4 coconut yoghurt
2 tbsp cacao powder
2 Medjool dates
Dash soy milk
(Optional: scoop of choc protein)

Method:

Blend all of the ingredients in a high-speed blender or food processor until smooth and enjoy with your Coconut Bowls Bamboo straw.

And what about the straw sticking out the top..? It's a bamboo straw by Coconut Bowls, and they recently shared some information on they 'why' behind their straws. Read on to hear what they had to say...

The Only Straw You NEED

"Does it bother you when a bartender places a plastic straw in your glass, or local smoothie maker wedges one into a takeaway smoothie… or even worse uses it as a stirrer and then throws it away!?

As much as society has progressed its reusable culture, sadly we are still surrounded by brands and companies that live with a disposable mindset.

As a result, over 8 billion straws end up in our oceans every year suffocating our marine-life and harming our planet. So we decided to do something about it.

We thought, how cool it would be to turn to nature for the source of a reusable straw! This is where we discovered the Bamboo Plant! This incredibly fast-growing plant requires little irrigation or fertilising, making it a super sustainable option to create our Bamboo Straws!

The future is plastic-free so we have decided to create a reusable straw made entirely from nature! They’re 100% biodegradable, easy to use, clean and carry around in your bag for your next takeaway smoothie or juice!

It’s time to wave goodbye to plastic straws, the ocean will thank you for it! We are proud to say that when our products return to the earth, no harm will be done."
